Installation

Treeborn Mosaic End-Grain Wood Tile Flooring is installed by our own professional installers in 4 basic steps:

1. An optional foam cushion, which is available in various high

R-values, low R-values for radiant heat floors, or a special

sound isolation version, is first glued to the floor.

2. Pre-cut end-grain African wood mosaic tiles, adhered to a

paper backing to maintain their pattern, are next placed and

glued to the cushion (or directly to the floor).

3. Treeborn's own Flexi-GroutTM (see colors below) is applied

between the individual blocks of all tiles.  Once the

grout cures, the entire surface is sanded.

4. A 2-component oil/wax finish coat is applied to provide an

easily-maintained matte finish and protect the wood.

Treeborn FlexiGroutTM is available in Black, and 5 colors

as shown below:

Finish

Treeborn Mosaic End-Grain Wood Tile Flooring is finished using Pallmann 2-Component Oil-wax combination that produces an open, breathing and diffusive surface finish. Its high, cross-linked density gives a water and dirt repellent surface that cannot be achieved with one-component wood flooring oils.

Maintenance

Treeborn Mosaic End-Grain Wood Tile Flooring is easily maintained with a coat of Pallmann Oil Care. This product provides a protective coating over the oil/wax finish and should be used on an annual basis.
